Malaysia to sign FTAs with Iran by the end of the year

Malaysia is expected to sign free trade agreements (FTAs) with Iran by the end of the year, said Malaysia's International Trade and Industry Second Minister Datuk Seri Ong Ka Chuan.

He said Malaysia has signed 13 FTAs with its ASEAN and dialogue partners so far.

Malaysia's International Trade and Industry First Minister Mahmoud Mustafa had already said that after US's withdrawal from Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) on January 23, 2017, Malaysia actively started talks about free trade agreements with the EU, Sri Lanka and Iran.
